2009 Grand Masters Marks Five Years
The 2009 Grand Masters Program was a great success, with master engravers Martin Strolz and Alexandre Sidorov.
Engravers, artists, and enthusiasts from all over the world came once again to the midwestern city of Emporia, Kansas to have the experience of a lifetime during this celebration of the engraving arts.

Grand Masters 2007
August 2007 brought fine engravers Winston Churchill of Vermont and Ken Hunt of England to Emporia, Kansas for the Third Annual Grand Masters Program. Students saw demonstrations of gold inlay, damascene, and refined drawing and layout skills under the instruction of the Grand Masters instructors.
The event also lended itself to a gathering of engravers, honored guests, and other artists during the weekend events. This time together is precious to those who viewed and showed portfolio work, new ways of thinking about the engraving arts, and discussions of the future of this fine craft. In August 2005, some of the finest engravers gathered in Emporia, Kansas for an extraordinary event: the First Annual GRS Grand Masters Program featuring Winston Churchill and Ron Smith .
This fulfilled a dream for many engravers and GRS. Since the creation of the GRS Training Center , GRS hoped to someday host a series of breakthrough programs led by some of the most renowned engravers in the world. It's now reality, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
