Course Description

The focus of this course is “fantasy engraving,” a special style for which Creative Art is famous world wide. This style allows the engraver to blend an extraordinary range of themes and subjects together in an interesting and flowing design. It can simultaneously combine traditional engraving art elements with contemporary ones producing striking results that hold the eye and attention like no other engraving technique.

The Creative Art team will teach each attendee an advanced understanding of light, perspective, artistic balance, and visual “rhythm.” Step-by-step instructions will insure clarity and individual achievement. The course will include a balance of graphic art design and refined execution techniques in metal with personal guidance from start to finish. It is intended to help engravers break through their existing art barriers and boost their level of work well beyond that of other engravers.

About the Masters: The Origin of Creative Art

In 1987, Giacomo Fausti set up a studio in his home with another engraver, Ugo Talenti. Their mutual goal was to combine their talent and develop new outlets for their work. Two years later Giovanni Steduto joined the studio followed by Valerio Peli and Armondo Piardi. Today, this firm is located in Inzino, Italy and is known as Creative Art.

The vision of combining talent from several artists was to create a team that could provide high-quality custom hand engravings more rapidly than the normal time needed for such work. Today, Creative Art serves an impressive range of customers from industrial companies that seek finished artistic models to pure artisans who collect extraordinary high-end pieces. Each member of the team brings their own special style, methods and skills which makes Creative Art so highly regarded today.
